We don't sell your data. Not now. Not ever.

INTENTION is a product of SALT VICE VENTURES ("INTENTION," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our website, apps, and services (the "Service"). Questions? Email founder@theintention.app.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with data brokers. We do not rent, trade, or monetize your identity, your intentions list, your closet, or your Scout questions to advertisers or third parties. This applies whether "sale" is defined under CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, or any other law.

We collect only what we need to run the Service:

• Account data — email address, and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile info Google returns (name, avatar).
• Preferences — the intentions you select, brands you save to your closet, and settings.
• Scout activity — the natural-language questions you ask Scout, so we can return an answer and improve the product.
• Technical logs — IP address, browser/device type, referring page, and timestamps, used for security and diagnostics.
• Communications — anything you send us via email or a form on the site.

We do not collect payment card data. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

• Operate the Service — sign you in, save your intentions, remember your closet, answer Scout questions.
• Improve the Service — understand which features are used, fix bugs, refine Scout's responses.
• Communicate with you — respond to support requests and, if you opt in, send product updates.
• Security and abuse prevention — detect fraud, spam, and violations of our Terms.
• Legal compliance — respond to lawful requests and enforce our rights.

Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data under these lawful bases: performance of a contract (running your account), our legitimate interests (securing, improving, and understanding the Service), your consent (for optional communications or cookies where required), and legal obligations.

We use a small set of trusted service providers ("subprocessors") strictly to run the Service. They are bound by contract to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.

• Lovable Cloud — application hosting and backend infrastructure.
• Google — optional "Sign in with Google" authentication.
• Lovable AI Gateway — routes Scout questions to a language model to generate the answer.
• Skimlinks — converts outbound brand links into affiliate links so we can earn a commission when you shop. Skimlinks may set cookies on outbound clicks; see their privacy policy.

None of these providers are permitted to sell your data.

We use only the cookies and local storage necessary to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and maintain basic analytics on how the site is used. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. You can block cookies in your browser, but parts of the Service may not work properly.

INTENTION may earn a commission when you click a brand link and make a purchase. The affiliate network (e.g., Skimlinks) sees the outbound click but does not receive your INTENTION account details from us.

We keep account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
• Opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — though, as stated above, we don't do either.

To exercise any of these rights, email founder@theintention.app from the address associated with your account. We respond within 30 days.

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures — encryption in transit, restricted access, and audited backend infrastructure — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect the data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we'll notify you by email or a notice in the app. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
